Relco
Relco produced a wide array of Japanese-produced ceramic/porcelain figurines. Included were three mosaic-finish lines.
The most common mosaic pattern is a white glossy finish with fired gold and silver tiles and dark brown matte overpaint. A similar glossy white finish with brown and pastel turquoise fired tiles was also produced. These two patterns were used in salt and pepper shakers, figurines, vases, planters, wall pockets, plates, and ashtrays. Ethnic dancer pairs were produced in the dark brown matte finish only. A small pitcher was included in the pastel line. An angelfish wall pocket in the brown and white mosaic finish was sold under the Norcrest label. Many of these items have unique ink-stamped numbers on their bases.
The third Relco pattern was a glossy white finish with pastel airbrush highlights and random cold painted mini-mosaics. This pattern was applied only to salt and pepper shakers and to planters.
